On December 2, 2024, a federal appeals court allowed part of Idaho’s ban on abortion support to go back into effect. Except for a parent or legal guardian supporting their child, it is a crime for anyone in Idaho to provide transportation or housing to an Idahoan under age 18 so they can get an abortion in another state.

- Abortions are not being provided at any stage of pregnancy in Idaho, except:
- to save the life of the pregnant person; or
- for a pregnancy that is the result of rape or incest that have been reported to law enforcement. This is only an option in the first trimester of pregnancy.

- In Idaho, the father, grandparent, sibling, aunt, or uncle of the “preborn child” can sue someone who performs or provides an abortion in civil court for $20,000 or more.
